The Mutt Strut tradition continues on strong! Dress up your favorite canine for the annual Mutt Strut Dog Parade & Costume Contest, sponsored by Goosefoot. Mutt Strut registration begins at 11 am; the parade is at 12 noon with costume judging to follow.

New 2018 Activities

For this spooky 13th celebration, Goosefoot is proud to offer more activities than ever! All are free and open to friends—human and doggy—of all ages. Activities are available 10 am to 12 noon, and will include:

  • Canine parkour course by Victoria Farrington

  • K9 Noseworks Demonstration led by Georgia Edwards. Teach you how to encourage and develop your dog’s amazing natural scenting ability by using its desire to hunt and its love of food, toys, and exercise. 11 AM - 11:20 AM

  • Information booths and ongoing demonstrations by:

    • 4Legged Wisdom & Wellness - procedures for dog owners to create comfort and wellness in animals, especially geriatric dogs

    • FETCH - learn where you can take your canine friend off-leash without disturbing others

    • Reading with Rover - literacy program for kids and others to practice reading to therapy dogs

    • Tricia’s Pet Care - certified emergency preparedness for your pets

    • WAIF - Whidbey’s favorite animal-centric group

  • Halloween games for the young and young at heart:

    • Doughnut decorating

    • Candy corn guessing

    • Monster ball toss

    • Spider races

    • Witches hats ring toss
